Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)
Maintaining a safe, respectful ecosystem.
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") outlines the prohibited behaviors and activities when using software and services provided by Syncere Labs LLC, including the Mutuality application.
1. Prohibited Activities
To ensure the safety of our users and the integrity of our infrastructure, you agree not to use our services to:
- Store, process, or distribute any illegal content, including material that violates child protection laws.
- Engage in harassment, stalking, doxxing, or threatening behavior toward any individual.
- Distribute malware, viruses, or any code designed to compromise computer systems.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, exploit, or bypass the encryption and security protocols of the Mutuality application.
- Abuse our API or infrastructure through automated scraping, denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks, or generating excessive, unreasonable server loads.
2. Zero-Knowledge Enforcement
Syncere Labs utilizes a Zero-Knowledge, End-to-End Encrypted architecture. This means we cannot proactively scan, read, or monitor your private encrypted relationship data to police your behavior.
However, encryption is not a license for abuse. If we receive credible, verifiable reports from external sources (such as victims, third-party platforms, or law enforcement) that an account is being used to facilitate harassment, stalking, or illegal activities, we reserve the right to immediately suspend or terminate the associated account. Furthermore, we actively monitor unencrypted metadata and network traffic to identify and ban accounts engaging in infrastructure abuse, spam, or API manipulation.
3. Reporting Violations
If you believe a user is violating this Acceptable Use Policy, please report the abuse to our security team at hello@syncerelabs.com. Provide any relevant context or external evidence, keeping in mind that we cannot access the user's encrypted data vault.
Syncere Labs reserves the right to update this policy at any time. Continued use of our services implies agreement with these terms.
